Dr. Zhou is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science. He is the director of Distributed and Internet Systems Lab, and the director and co-founder of PhD in Engineering with a focus in security degree program. He obtained BS, MS, and PhD degrees in computer science from Nanjing University, in 1994, 1997, and 2000, respectively. He was a visiting scientist in 1999 and a postdoctorate research associate in 2000 at the Paderborn Center for Parallel Computing, University of Paderborn, Germany. From January 2001 to August 2003, he was a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science, Wayne State University, Detroit. Dr. Zhou's research was supported in part by National Science Foundation, Army Medical Research, and Air Force Research Lab. He was awarded "The Outstanding Researcher of the Year 2005" and "The Outstanding Teacher of the Year 2008" of the College of Engineering and Applied Science.

Announcement

  • One Graduate Research Assistant position is available beginning Fall 2008. The GRA will be registered for the new program of PhD in Engineering with a focus in Security (Program Description).
