January 8, 1997 Intercollegiate Athletics Advisory Committee
          Meeting

The committee met briefly to consider the eligibility appeal of
Student Athlete Scott Walkingstick.  Mr. Walkingstick's grade
point average has improved each semester and his semester average
for fall, 1996, was 2.2.  Unfortunately his cumulative GPA has
not yet reached 2.0.  After detailed questioning of Mr. Walk-
ingstick, the committee reached consensus that his appeal should
be granted and Mr.  Walkingstick be encouraged to make signifi-
cant progress towards raising his cumulative grade point average.
