  1. How do teams access on line solution submission?

  5. What is the site development environment?
    Java, C, C++ in a Windows XP environment and remote (xterm and terminal) access to linux boxes. On the PC side, the tools are jbuilder 5 professional, microsoft visual c++ 6.0, and internet explorer. Access to unix will be remote using a telnet client such as hummingbird telnet, or putty. Xterm access, if available, will be via hummingbird exceed.
  6. What is the contest judging environment?
    Java, C, C++ in a Unix environment.

  8. Where in Colorado Springs is the University and the contest?
    The contest will be held in the Engineering Building on Campus.

  9. What does the Engineering Building look like?

  10. What about parking?
    On Saturday, there is open parking on campus. You should try to park in lot 5 in front of the engineering building.

    For Friday, November 14, 2003, we have arranged (click here for details) for you to park in regular spaces in parking lots 4 and 5 which are located in front of the Engineering building. This arrangement is valid after 4:30 Friday evening. In the unlikely event that you can not find a space in either of those lots, you will need to use the visitor parking lot at $1.50 per hour.

  11. Have you made any special hotel/motel arrangements for the contest?
    Up to four people can stay in a room at the Super 8 at I-25 and Garden of the Gods (4604 Rusina Road) for $29.95 plus tax. You can call them at 1-800-843-1991 or 1-719-594-0964. Mention ACM or contact Charlie Shub if there are any problems with the rate.

  14. What about the banquet
    The 2003 banquet will be held at the Jade Dragon Chinese Restaurant at 3598 North Academy Boulevard. Exit Campus and turn Left (east) onto Austin Bluffs Parkway. Proceed about 2 miles to the 3rd traffic light at the intersection of American Dr. Bear Right on American Dr. Proceed on American Dr. almost 1/2 mile to the opposite end. Turn right into the parking lot about 50 feet before you reach the end of American Dr. The restaurant is on your right. Expected starting time will be 5:00 PM

  18. What do i do if the windows java environment won't start properly?
    the second icon from the bottom on the left side of the desktop (the one labeled "Refresh Jbuilder Files") should be double clicked.

  19. How do i print?
    Add the printer to your environment by doing the following:
    select start - settings - printers and faxes
    click add a printer
    click next
    select network printer
    click next
    select find printer in the directory
    select "in eas" from the top pull down menu
    click on find now
    scroll down and select EN149 CS Lab
    click on ok
    click on finish
