Dhemaji, August 8:

A contingent of the army, in search of ULFA members, terrified the residents of Deurigaon in the Bordoloni police district at 11 pm at night on the 2nd of August. The soldiers beat a large number of peaceful citizens while conducting the search. They arrested Bipin Deuri (a teacher, 26), Royal Deuri (a member of SULFA, 26), and Congress Deuri (a farmer, 20) and sent them to Dhemaji police station. Later they were sent to jail.
